If you were unable to attend Mass this past weekend, you missed a special homily given by Fr. Nick. In the homily, he explained that beginning July 1, 2021 a process for parish renewal will begin in the lower Blackstone Valley region. Fr. Nick wil remain the pastor of St. Mary Church, but he will also become the administrator of Good Shephard Church in Linwood, St. Augustine Church in Millville, and St. Paul Church in Blackstone. Two additional priests will be assigned to assist Fr. Nick and to serve these parishes. St. Theresa Church in Blackstone will also be part of this renewal process but Fr. Thien Nguyen will remain pastor there.

Novena Prayer to the Holy Spirit for Parish Renewal
Our hope is all five parishes will join together in prayer in preparation for the process of parish renewal. We will rely on the Holy Spirit to lead us in this transformation. Please join us in prayer from May 14-23, 2021.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for calling us to serve as your disciples. You have charged us through Your Son, Jesus with the great mission of evangelizing and witnessing your love to the world. Send your Holy Spirit to guide us as we discern Your will for the spiritual renewal of our parishes. Give us strength, courage, and clear vision as we use our gifts to serve You. We entrust our parish family to the care of Mary, our mother, and ask for her intercession, and guidance as we strive to bear witness to the Gospel and build an amazing faith community. Amen.

Groundbreaking for The G.R.A.C.E. Center
The groundbreaking for The G.R.A.C.E. Center that is being built in memory of Grace Rett was held last Thursday, May 6. Bishop McManus joined the Rett family and a crowd of well-wishers, donors and OLV school children. The weather was beautiful and the ceremonial groundbreaking officially kicked off the start of construction. To view the video please click on the button below.
