NOVENA TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
Begins tonight at 7 pm
The novena, in honor of the Holy Spirit, is the oldest of all novenas since it was first made at the direction of our Lord Himself when He sent His apostles back to Jerusalem to await the coming of the Holy Spirit on the first Pentecost. Addressed to the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, it is a powerful plea for the light, strength, and love so sorely needed by every Christian. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to grow in the seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
We will pray the Novena via Zoom each night beginning at 7 pm from May 13-22.

SAMARITAN INN SNACK DRIVE

WHO: St. Gabriel’s Food Shuttle is sponsoring a food drive for the 30-40 children living at the Samaritan Inn this summer.
WHAT: individually packaged snacks and 100% fruit juice boxes
WHEN: May 12-26, 2021
WHERE: Please drop off donated items in the collection bin in the narthex (directly inside the front doors of the church) and NOT in the food pantry bin outside.
WHY: The Samaritan Inn is Collin County’s largest homeless program. This summer, the children living at the Samaritan Inn will be attending various day camps with field trips. The Samaritan Inn needs help sending campers off each day with individually packaged snacks and juice boxes. With your donations, they can make sure that each camper is taken care of and has a memorable summer during their stay at the Inn.

C3: FOSTER & ADOPTION MINISTRY FEATURED IN THE TEXAS CATHOLIC
If you received your Texas Catholic, you may have seen some familiar faces in one of the articles. They featured our very own C3 Ministry. We're so proud of the work they do to support foster and adoptive parents in our parish as well as bring awareness to the need for foster care in our community.
A lot is happening this weekend. We celebrate the Ascension of the Lord and...
- The Knights of Columbus will be selling sausage and cheese after the morning Masses.
- High School and College graduates are invited to attend the Baccalaureate Mass at the 5:30 pm Mass on Sunday (May 16).
- We welcome Fr. Dankasa back from his vacation.
- All pews on the left and right side will be open for seating to allow more people to worship in the church. Additional chairs have been added to the narthex as well.
Congratulations to all the children who received their First Eucharist at the Masses last weekend. We can’t wait to see them all for their second Eucharist, third Eucharist, and beyond!
Miguel Sotelo, our trusted seminarian, you will be missed! Please keep Miguel in your prayers as he continues his formation to become a priest.
