Wow, it is amazing how fast the year has gone and how much the kids have grown! What a year we have had!
I can't believe that tomorrow is our last day!! We have grown to know each other, work through issues with each other and love each other like family! I have seen so much growth in these kids in all areas! Some have learned to be kind to a friend, some have learned to wait, some have learned to count to 20 or learned the letters of the alphabet! They have all grown in some area and I am proud to have been a part of this. I am so proud of this group!
As we wind down our year, tomorrow, we are going to have a summer fun celebration outside! I am planning on being outside from 10 through lunch. (I am hoping the weather cooperates and it stays warmer than it has been!) We will have the dirt, blocks, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, balls, hula hoops, spray bottles with water, and puffy sidewalk chalk paint. I promise I will take A LOT of pictures and share them with you!
For lunch, we will be eating outside on the front lawn under the shade trees. I have picnic table cloths that we can sit on. You can send your child's lunch or they can have the sack lunch that Mrs. McFarland is preparing! Either way is fine! Tomorrow is also rainbow day! If your child doesn't have anything with rainbow, they can wear their favorite color! We will again get a group picture to share!
Finally, THANK YOU! THANK YOU for entrusting your children to St. James and to me. THANK YOU for responding to my newsletters and my crazy requests! THANK YOU for meeting with me for conferences! THANK YOU for working with us to get through this year! I am SO PROUD to be a part of your child's education and I can't wait to see how they change the world!
For those that will be returning to St. James...it's not goodbye, it's see you in 3 months. I can't wait to have another AMAZING year of learning and growing!
For those that are moving on...it's not goodbye, please stay in touch and know that St. James School is always here for you! (I am too!)
See everyone tomorrow!
