Dear Parishioners of Sts. Martha, Mary, Lazarus Friends of Jesus,
I would like to inform you that I (Fr. T.J) have tested positive for COVID-19 today ( Wednesday May 12, 2021). I received a negative test on Saturday May 8th after travelling so I could make sure I was healthy to celebrate Sunday Masses. I got tested again when I found out that people I was with late last week had tested positive for Covid. Luckily, my symptoms have been very mild and I appreciate all of your prayers. I also tested positive in November, so I'm one of those unlucky ones that has gotten covid twice.
We have been trying to follow the guidelines regarding safety protocols to prevent the spread of the virus, but as we know, all of our preparations and precautions can't completely stop the spread. We strongly encourage you to monitor your health for any symptoms. I celebrated Mass on Saturday evening and Sunday at 9:00am and 1 pm as well as Monday morning and Tuesday evening. if you came in close contact (within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more) with me in the last few days. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please seek medical attention immediately and be tested for COVID-19. There are a number of free COVID-19 testing sites throughout our community.
Fr. Ralph has tested negative for the virus and has been completely vaccinated. He will continue to provide the sacramental needs for the parish and we will keep the normal Mass schedule.
I will be in isolation until May 22, 2021.
I will keep you informed through our parish Flock-notes regarding any changes to my status or the Church schedule. Please keep everyone in your prayers who are affected by this virus. I am very grateful for all of your prayers and I am optimistic that everything will be okay.
Sincerely in Christ,
Father T.J. Dolce
Pastor, Sts. Martha, Mary, Lazarus, friends of Jesus
