Reinstatement of Obligation to Attend Mass,
June 5/6
The Catholic Conference of Ohio, which is comprised of the Bishops of all the dioceses in the state, announced on Thursday, May 13, that the obligation to attend Mass will be reinstated starting with the weekend of June 5 and 6.
Since our guidance throughout this pandemic has been to follow the regulations of public health authorities, there will be no mask mandate for churches of the archdiocese after the statewide mandate is lifted.
WWPR’s Annual
Feast of Corpus Christi Procession
Sunday, June 6, the WWPR will be celebrating the Solemnity of Corpus Christi at Our Lady of the Rosary. We will process with the Blessed Sacrament displayed in a monstrance around the Greenhills Commons starting at 10:15 am. We will stop at the gazebo for some time of Eucharistic adoration, Scripture, reflection, and prayer. We will then process back to the church for Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
Our procession is a public statement of our belief that Jesus Christ is truly present in the most holy sacrament of the Eucharist... our belief that in the Eucharist, Jesus Christ gives Himself completely to us - body, blood, soul and divinity. Our procession with the Blessed Sacrament is also an evangelizing movement, taking the Gospel to the world in obedience to Christ's great commission to go out to the world and preach the good news, and furthering our mission to bring our world back to God in and through Jesus Christ.
All 1st Communicants are invited to process in their 1st Communion clothes.
