Getting married or attending a wedding this summer? Did you know St Joseph gave Mother Mary a wedding ring? It’s Santo Anello, housed in a reliquary exhibited in the Cathedral of San Lorenzo in Perugia, Italy where it hangs from a gilded silver crown. The reliquary is usually behind curtains above the present altarpiece in this chapel.
It is exhibited on the altar from July 31st to August 2nd. At that time it is visited by pilgrims and their own wedding rings are allowed to touch this relic.
Mystic Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich described the ring in a vision and never saw it or heard of it before that time. Her vision allowed those outside this town to learn of the ring and verify it.
