Volunteers Wanted!
We are looking for volunteers to serve in the following capacities.
Sunday Liturgical Coordinators
Altar Servers
Lectors
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Ushers
Head Sacristans
Sunday Liturgical Coordinators
The SLCs is expected to pray for and schedule the five groups of people below for each Mass. There are five Sunday Masses: Vigil, 7am, 8:30am, 11am, and 6pm. Different Masses require a different number of volunteers. The SLCs will maintain current lists of volunteers and their contact information. The SCLs will work with the pastor to provide formation and instruction in the volunteer’s work as well as their faith-life.
The SLCs have an important role in helping maintain the integrity of Saint Ann Parish’s mission and public witness to the Catholic faith through our liturgical volunteers. The celebration and administration of the sacred mysteries are the main way in which we bring people to God and bring God to the people. The SLCs can help keep everyone’s focus on the importance, the beauty (artistry), and the responsibility of publicly serving the Sacred Mystery Himself.
Publicly serving at Sunday Mass requires that the volunteer:
- Is a Catholic in good standing and who witnesses faithfully to love of Jesus and the Church’s teachings.
- Who attends Sunday Mass every week, habitually.
Can perform the task/role efficiently, without difficulty, and with a smile.
