Dear Parish Families and Friends,
I hope that this flock note finds you well. As the nice weather settles in and we prepare for graduations and summer vacation around the corner, I just wanted to update you on Corpus Christi Sunday and our return to the Church for Sunday Masses.
Firstly, This Sunday, June 6th, we will celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, otherwise known as Corpus Christi Sunday. At the end of the 12 Noon Mass, we will process with the Blessed Sacrament eastward along Garden Street to St. Christopher's Church. Once inside we will culminate with benediction ( blessing) and reposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle.
Secondly, this marks our official return to Sunday Masses in the Church beginning on the weekend of June 12th and 13th. Welcome home everyone! Please note the following guidelines once inside of the Church:
- the two wings in the sanctuary of the Church are designated for parishioners with "MASK ONLY". Please note that although the restrictions of wearing masks for vaccinated persons have been lifted, this area is reserved for those who prefer to wear masks only
- in the main body (pews) of the Church, mask wearing is optional on an honor basis system.
- the Don Bosco Hall (lower Church seating) and choir loft are all optional mask areas as well
- please continue to sanitize hands as you enter the Church
- please always remember to be courteous to others
Thank you for your cooperation as we ease back into our home at St. Christopher's Church.
God bless,
Fr. Pat
