From the Pastor’s Desk
I would like to take a moment to reiterate what was mentioned last weekend in my
online video about masks. Following our bishop’s lead, I am referring parishioners to the current CDC guidelines. That is, those who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear a mask; those who are not fully vaccinated are encouraged to do so. This will be our policy for all parish activities moving forward.
Because the vaccine is available for all adults and the CDC guidelines are widely known, we are stressing personal responsibility regarding health decisions at this point in the pandemic. We are also stressing the need for sensitivity to the personal situations of those around us. For example, some individuals will continue to wear a mask for a variety of reasons. Perhaps they are unable to get the vaccine because of certain health concerns. Or perhaps they have children at home who need to be protected from the virus. Please be charitable and understanding to those who do or do not wear a mask.
May the Lord bless you throughout this week!
