The best way to know if Saint Augustine is right for your child(ren) is to visit us and meet with our building principal. Guided tours are offered for your convenience and are encouraged so that prospective parents may observe the classes in session, instruction, classroom management, and get a taste of our family community at work providing quality, Catholic education.

Virtual Baptism Preparation Class for the entire Pastorate

If you are expecting or have a child that is not yet baptized and you would like to have them baptized, please register (email fr.jbennett@dol-in.org) for this upcoming baptism prep. Parental Baptismal Preparation is required before your child receives the Sacrament of Baptism. Both Parents should participate.

Help Wanted: Director of Evangelization for St. Michael the Archangel Pastorate
The Director of Evangelization, Family Life, and Pastoral Ministries will assist the Missionary Pastor with the pastoral care of the Pastorate. This role includes pastoral planning along with supervision of Directors and/or Coordinators of the following ministry areas: Lifelong Formation, Liturgy and Music, Pastoral Care and Community Care, other Parish Ministries to include Religious Education, Youth Group and Outreach. The DOE supports, accompanies, and equips the leaders in these ministerial areas to focus their attention beyond parishioners and into the community at large as they strive to facilitate making disciples of Jesus Christ, building vibrant communities of faith and inspiring men and women to be witnesses of Christ to the world.

Year of St. Joseph
On December 8th, Pope Francis inaugurated a year dedicated to St. Joseph to commemorate the 150th anniversary of St. Joseph's dedication as Universal Patron of the Catholic Church.
To mark this occasion, Pope Franics issed an Apostolic Letter on St. Joseph, which I highly encourage everyone to read and to use in your increased devotion to St. Jospeh.
We will begin to plan public devotions to St. Jospeh this year.

Also, the Apostolic Penitentiary announced a special Plenary Indulgence for the Year of St. Joseph. The plenary indulgence will be granted under the usual conditions (sacramental confession, Eucharistic Communion, detachment from sin, and prayer for the Pope’s intentions) to those who participate in the Year of St Joseph in any of the following ways: (Dec 8 2020 - Dec 8 2021)
- Meditate for at least 30 minutes on the Lord’s Prayer or take part in a Spiritual Retreat with meditation on St. Joseph
- Perform a spiritual or corporal act of mercy following St. Joseph’s example
- For families or engaged couples who recite the Holy Rosary together
- Entrust your daily work to St. Joseph or ask St. Joseph’s intercession for the unemployed to find dignifying work
- Recite the Litany of St. Joseph or any other Prayer to St. Joseph for the persecuted Church and relief of all Christians suffering from persecution
