11th Sunday of Ordinary Time
6/13/21
Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,
Last week’s Corpus Christi procession was a great hit! It went really well and it was wonderful to process through our neighborhood bearing witness to Christ's presence among us. There have been many special feast days lately – Holy Trinity Sunday, Corpus Christi, Sacred Heart – but now we settle into the Sundays of Ordinary time. To me, that has always meant Summer is really here. Normally events in a parish slow down during the Summer, but with our new parish hall opening soon and the pandemic coming to a close it's my hope that events will pick up here and we can start building new ministries and having social events to build up our community. I look forward to working with all of you to make St. Joseph's a vibrant parish as we come out of this pandemic.
Also, this week a new friar is moving in. Br. Martin Davis OP has been assigned to St. Joseph's. He'll teach uptown at St. Vincent Ferrer HS, but he'll live here and help out at the parish. Please welcome him when you see him.
God Bless,
Fr. Boniface
