AN ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION:
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
What to expect as you return to Mass at St. Luke Parish as the obligation to attend Mass is reestablished by Bishop McManus.
- We will continue to sanitize your hands as you enter church.
- Masks will not be required if you have been fully vaccinated.
- We expect adults not fully vaccinated continue to follow the requirements (mask & social distancing.)
- The right side of the church (the side with the baptismal font) will respect social distancing and the limits on seating. We would expect that most people in this area would continue to wear masks. This section of the church will continue to be sanitized after each celebration.
- The left side of the church (the side with the lectern) will be open seating without social distancing. You need not wear a mask here, though some may desire to do so. This part of the church will undergo a deep cleaning on Friday in preparation for the weekend services.
- We trust your good will and concern for one another for these temporary changes.
- There will be simple entrance and recessional songs with familiar hymns. The responsorial psalm will be sung together.
- For the time being we will not pass the basket during the Mass. Baskets will be available at the main entrance for those who do not use other means of support. We appreciate your incredible generosity throughout the pandemic.
- The sign of peace will continue to be exchanged without physical contact except within households.
- Because Communion is a very intimate exchange both spiritually and physically, we will be very prudent and careful during this transition time.
- Holy Communion will take place during the celebration of Mass at the traditional time. We will continue to use side aisles and have our hands sanitized before receiving communion. We will return to our seats through the center aisle.
Finally, please be patient. This transition is based on our trust and concern for the well-being of one another. With God’s help we will soon be able to gather without restrictions.

We invite parishioners to stay and pray the rosary together after 9:00am weekday Mass.
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament & Adoration
Tuesdays after 9:00am Mass, 9:30am - 1:00pm. Benediction at 1:00pm.

Prayer of Saint Michael
We invite you to recite the prayer of Saint Michael as Pope Francis and Saint John Paul II have recommended, “to obtain help in the battle against the forces of darkness and against the spirit of this world.”
“St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.”
