What a day! Windows open at the rectory office and a beautiful breeze coming in. Only an hour left and we are closed for the weekend!
Only good things to report this week!
1. Our in-pew weekend went very well. We raised over $7,200 in pledges. We are just shy of $10,000 to meet our goal of $110,000. If you have not pledged a gift please consider a small amount so we can reach our goal. Thank you to everyone for their generosity.
2. If you own a small business, or provide a service, and would like to advertise in our church bulletin, please contact the rectory office. Liturgical Press will be sending a representative to the office within the next few weeks. Our bulletin is a great way to reach potential customers and to get your name out in the community!
3. Please welcome Joyce Baran, our new Director of Social Events, as our guest speaker at the Masses this weekend. Joyce is going to give a two-minute talk on her plans for Social Events as the year moves forward. If you have an interest in joining her Committee, please let the rectory office know or see Jane at the Mass. All our welcome!
4. Happy Father's Day to all our wonderful dads! Have a fantastic weekend. God bless each and every one of you.
5. I absolutely saved the best bit of news for last. Happy 100th birthday to our parishioner Sal Petriello. Check out his photo on the last page of our bulletin this weekend. He is absolutely adorable. And ladies.....I saw him first, so hands off !
Best to all,
Paula
P.S. Still no hummingbirds. But the yellow finches have been back at the birdfeeder and my "grandchildren" (the turkey chicks) are getting so big. Michael and I just might have to start planning a trip to take them to Disney. Do you think the airline will let me put them in the overhead compartment or in a bag to put under my seat? They are so fussy these days.......................
