Dear Fatima Faithful,
A message from the desk of the greeting committee:
Greetings from the Greeter Team!
We are excited to restart the Our Lady of Fatima Mass Greeter program!!!
This is a fun, easy, and rewarding ministry which allows people of all ages to participate in welcoming parishioners and visitors to our weekly mass services.
Signup Instructions:
- Go To Link: HERE.
- Check all the boxes you want to sign up for
(Only select one slot per family as we'd like to have greeters at each door if possible) - Then click "Submit and Sign Up"
- It will then prompt you for your name. The comments and email are optional.
Below are general duties for our greeters.
- Stand outside exterior doors before Mass for 15 minutes.
- Open and hold door as people approach entrance.
- Offer a smile, warm greeting, and silent prayer for everyone encountered.
- If needed, help the elderly and infirm up the stairs or out of cars.
The sign-up calendar is currently set up through December 2022. You can sign up once, as you become available, or before each of your regularly-attended mass. We would like at least 2 sets of family greeters for each mass. As we kick-start this program and you notice we don't have any greeters, feel free to be a "Spontaneous Greeter" until we get the schedule filled.
Thank you so much for considering volunteering these 15 minutes before mass to welcome our visitors! There is a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) list attached to the psite. If you have any additional questions or have issues with the site, please feel free to reach out to me at
judy@lightspeedag.com. Thanks again!
Blessings always,
Here is a nice little video by the Augustine Institute on the Eucharist:
Today is the feast of St John the Baptist in his Nativity. He is the only saint, besides Jesus, who we celebrate his earthly birth in the Liturgy, and half way between the summer solstice and the winter solstice, when we celebrate Jesus' birth! This is because the precursor was a big deal!! His soul was a burning flame of love and humility and his role absolutely unique in salvation history. He is the proto-proto-martyr giving his life for the cause of faith and righteousness and the overall vibe that the Lord Jesus and Scriptures give us is this: We will be surprised at how important he is in Heaven, how much love and goodness God placed in his heart from the womb where he was sanctified by the presence of the Ark of the New Covenant, Mary Immaculate, and Jesus, the Word-Messiah!!
So let us renew our devotion to this holy firebrand and ask for his intercession so that we can understand better the wonderful mysteries of our faith and how to put them into high gear!!
For those interested, I am still continuing my little class between the 9am Mass and the 11am Mass in the Parish Hall, called 'Catholic Legends and their Legendary Thinking'. We covered St Ignatius of Antioch at the beginning and are now working on Pope Leo XIII's encyclical on Freemasonry. Why this encyclical? Because Freemasonry has an important role in the last 3 centuries in forming the Anti-Church, Leo XIII is an amazingly wise Pontiff who understood the reality well, and many Catholic are unaware of their doctrine, motives, and history outside of the vaguest conspiracy theories.
Here we get to the authentic doctrinal expose from one of the greatest Pope's in recent memory.
In the meantime, we hope you are enjoying your summer and may the Holy Precursor, St John the Baptist, lead us all into the deep waters of the Holy Spirit and the feet of the Lord Jesus, Son of God and Son of Man! Amen!
