Hi there, everyone! Hope that you are having a great week! Here is our Flocknote for this week.
1) 100th Anniversary Pictures: We’re working on collecting some pictures from over the years here at St. Vincent De Paul to help celebrate our 100th anniversary. Our hope is to gather pictures from throughout the years to create a photo history that we can display during the anniversary year. If you have any pictures that you wouldn’t mind sharing with us, you can drop them off at the Parish Office. So that we can get them back to you, please make sure to put your name & phone number on each picture.
2) LiveStreaming Update: Our new camera system is up & running & we hope to be able to resume some sort of live-streaming again soon. It'll be an experiment as we get used to & familiar with this new system, so please be patient with any issues that may arise as we get going. The live-streaming will be done through Boxcast & should be able to be accessed right from our parish Facebook & YouTube pages & eventually through our website as well.
3) Gift Card Scam Reminder: Occasionally I will hear from parishioners that they received an email and/or text from me asking for help with a favor that "must be handled discretely." If a response is sent, the person usually ends up asking for gift cards. Please know this is NOT from me & just ignore it should you receive one.
4) Sacred Heart Novena: Every Friday, following the 8:30 daily Mass the Sacred Heart Novena is prayed. You are always welcome to join in!
5) Summer Prayer: Here is a prayer you might find benefit in praying during these summer months:
Giving Thanks For Summer
Father, Creator of all, thank You for summer!
Thank you for the warmth of the sun
and the increased daylight.
Thank You for the beauty I see all around me
and for the opportunity to be outside and enjoy Your creation.
Thank You for the increased time I have to be with my friends and family,
and for the more casual pace of the summer season.
Draw me closer to You this summer.
Teach me how I can pray
no matter where I am or what I am doing.
Warm my soul with the awareness of Your presence
and light my path with Your Word and Counsel.
As I enjoy Your creation, create in me
a pure heart and a hunger and a thirst for You.
