Brothers and sisters,
If you are reading this and have not yet attended Mass in person, I encourage you to come and worship in community. There are 3 reasons I do so:
First, as of July 1st, Bishop Rojas will no longer grant a dispensation from Sunday worship due to the pandemic. The only exception is for those over 65 years of age who have health conditions preventing their attendance. Please encourage your family and friends to worship with us in person if they are healthy and able to do so. Masks are no longer required indoors, but those who still wish to wear masks may do so. If you or your loved ones have additional questions, please either visit our Frequently Asked Questions Page on our website or call the parish office.
Second, come and meet our new priest, Father Eulices Godinez.
Third, humans are made for relationship and connection. In fact, that's what is at the heart of Christianity! Not a story from the past or a bunch of rules; rather, an honest-to-goodness relationship.
What if one of the most important ways we participate in our relationship with Christ was pretty similar to being guests at a party?
Check out this short video from Bishop Barron below, and, please say hello when you come back to Mass. We look forward to welcoming you!
Together, let us glorify Christ's Holy Name,
Father Erik Esparza
