Inter Religious Affairs:
Multi-faith Leaders in Community (MLinC) was started 4+ years ago to address the widening divides of our region in terms of politics, religion and ethnicity. They have a monthly, one-hour on-line (Zoom) gathering of local faith leaders every 3rd Wednesday of the month 12-1pm. Their goal is to build respectful connections between the many faith leaders in the area through respectful dialogue and learning about each other.
Current faith traditions represented include Catholic, Evangelical, Lutheran, Episcopalian, United Church of Christ, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist - Insight Meditation, Buddhist - Vietnamese, Seventh Day Adventist, Baptist, Church of the Brethren, Victory in Praise Church, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and others.
They are very eager to have other faith leaders from other houses of worship join them! They strive to reflect the full spiritual diversity of the region. Their hope is that members of the Sikh community, Assyrian community, Greek Orthodox, and pastors from the larger Christian churches in Stanislaus County will attend as well. Even if your faith or denomination is already represented, they want you to join them to make solid connections between all of the faith leaders in the region.
