This summer seems to be flying by. July is full of some small group stuff, Steubenville, and we just confirmed details for a Canoeing/Activity Day out at Chester Woods. We hope you will join us for some of these great opportunities. Also, please bring a backpack to the bonfire on Wednesday! We'll use them for a game.

Have you ever wondered what a Sunday Mass reading is about? Why does it say that? What does it mean? This summer we'll dive into the Sunday Mass readings together through a method of reading scripture that has been practiced in the Church for centuries: Lectio Divina.

Dairy Queen of Peace Walks
Mondays 3:10-4 pm | Youth Center
After your Monday book discussion/small group you are welcome to take a walk with us to Dairy Queen and back. We’ll have some fun, learn a little bit about Mary under her title of “Queen of Peace,” and we’ll learn some prayers too.
Meet at the Youth Center at 3:10 pm.
Wednesday Bonfire | 7-9 pm July 4
Star Wars Night
Star Wars vs. Star Trek? Bring your inner Jedi. Come dressed in your favorite space gear, and halfway through the evening we’ll play some Star Wars/Trek-themed games. Invite a friend! RSVP below is not required but is really helpful. Also, if you are an adult willing to help we’d love to have you!

Chester Woods has canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards, plus hiking trails, open space for Frisbee, and a picnic area. We’ll be gathering with some of the other parishes in the area for a relaxing activity day. More info to come soon.

Fr. Mike Schmitz is hosting a daily podcast (about 20 min/day on average) that will take you through the entire Bible in a Year! I have been listening and it is awesome! You should definitely check it out. It isn’t too late to start your day one!
