Survey, and more changes to the weekend Mass schedule beginning July 18
Dear Parishioners,
Fr. Steve and the pastoral council would like you to fill out a very short Survey Monkey survey, about whether your household is vaccinated against COVID-19. Vaccinations rates are quite low in Whitman County; about 37% are fully vaccinated. If we find that a large percentage of parishioners are vaccinated, we will be more likely to have indoor Mass without masks. The survey is anonymous, we won't be able to see who answered. It will accept one response from each device.
Please complete the survey as soon as you can, at this link:
We are adding an additional Sunday Mass at 11 AM, in the church. Our weekend Mass schedule is now: Saturday, 4:30 PM, in the church.
Sunday, 8:30 & 10 AM, outdoors,
11 AM, in the church.
If the air quality is unhealthy, all Masses will be inside. Please sign up for whichever Mass you wish to attend, because we need to be sure that the church is not over capacity. Bring a mask with you even for the early Sunday masses, in case they move indoors, where masks are required for all. We will send out a Flocknote if they move inside. The AC will be on when it is hot.
Please let us know which Mass you are attending. Remember your lawn chairs (and masks if not fully vaccinated)! (We also have folding chairs available).
Sunday 8:30 AM Mass
Sunday 10:00 AM Mass
If you cannot sit on the lawn, you may reserve one of three parking spots next to the lawn.
Sunday, July 18: Reserve a parking spot in the staff lot during outdoor Mass.
If you can't sit in a chair on the lawn, you may park in one of the three spots available off the alley between the social hall and parish house. The Mass is broadcast at 87.9 FM.
Sign-up and masks are required for this Mass. We have limited space.
Sunday 11 AM Mass
Fr. Paul Heric is still looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment for a vibrant young couple who are new employees at St. Thomas More Catholic Student Center at WSU. It would be nice if it was fairly close to St. Thomas. They will be here by August 1. Please reply to this email if you know of anything suitable.Thank you!
