On Friday, July 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the Great Hall we will celebrate the Blessing and Investiture with the Brown Scapular. The Brown Scapular will be provided or you are welcome to bring your personal Brown Scapular as well for blessing and investiture.

During the ceremony of investiture, the priest will place the Brown Scapular upon each recipient with these words: “Receive this blessed scapular and beseech the Blessed Virgin that through her merits, you may wear it without stain.  May it defend you against all adversity and accompany you to eternal life.  Amen.”

El viernes 16 de julio a las 6:00 p.m. en el gran salón, vamos a celebrar la Bendición e Investidura del Escapulario. El Escapulario se les va a dar aquí. O si desean pueden traer su Escapulario personal para bendecirlo y recibir su investidura.

Durante la ceremonia de Investidura, el sacerdote va a colocar un escapulario de lana café sobre cada persona que lo recibe, con estas palabras: "Recibe este escapulario bendecido, y ruega a la Santísima Virgen que por sus méritos, lo lleves dignamente sin mancha. Que te proteja contra toda adversidad y te acompañe a la vida eterna. Amén"

Free COVID Vaccines will be offered at the Lake Travis Crisis Ministries on Wednesday, July 21st from 4:30 PM - 7 PM. No ID or Insurance is required. The vaccine is for anyone 12 and older. Children between the ages of 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The Lake Travis Library bookmobile will visit Emmaus Parish on Sunday, July 18th at 1 PM. The bookmobile will be parked in the circle drive behind the church, next to the Parish Life Center.
The Main library is now open, so one family at a time can go onto the bookmobile to pick out books. You can also reserve items and pick them up outside the bookmobile.
Please understand that this may be canceled at any time; therefore you should check the outreach calendar ( https://laketravislibrary.org/bookmobile/) for up to date information.
The bookmobile will have free books that you do not have to return.
You can return library materials to the bookmobile also.
