Trust
This past April, on Divine Mercy Sunday, we heard these words: “Jesus, I Trust in You.”
But what does it mean to trust in Jesus? We are currently in difficult times, so allow me to offer a prayer that may say something about what it means to place our trust in Jesus.
“O my Jesus…
In all my temptations, I place my trust in You.
In all my weaknesses, I place my trust in You.
In all my difficulties, I place my trust in You.
In all my trials, I place my trust in You.
In all my sorrows, I place my trust in You.
In every failure, I place my trust in You.
In every disappointment, I place my trust in You.
In every discouragement, I place my trust in You.
In all my efforts, I place my trust in you.
In life and in death, I place my trust in you.
In time and eternity, I place my trust in you.
May Your holy will be done in al things, because I trust in You.
I will accept the crosses of life as I accept the joys with a grateful heart, because I trust in You.
I will not be worried or anxious about anything, because I trust in You.
I will not lose heart in my efforts to be good, because I trust in You.
I will never doubt Your mercy or Your love, because I trust in You.
If You will have me to be in darkness, may You be blessed.
If You will have me to be in light, may You be blessed.
If You will to comfort me, may You be blessed.
If You will that I be afflicted, may You be blessed.
Keep me from all sin, and I will fear neither death nor hell. No tribulation that befalls me will harm me, because in all things I place my trust in You, O Jesus, my God and my All.”
May this prayer give you both comfort and peace…Deacon Loris
