Hello, Everyone!
From Reading Buddies, to singing with Mrs. Tinnes -
finishing fire trucks to making witches...it was a great week!
Hopefully fire trucks did not need repairs by the time they were at home? This project took a bit longer than anticipated.
Mrs. Mac had everyone "stirring the brew" on Thursday! Children mixed up equal amounts of water, glue & liquid starch to make Goop! What fun to have it trickle out of your hands into a bowl...mush it around, feel it & squish it...Thanks Mrs. Mac! Great recipe!
These teachers finally got brave enough to get out scissors. Each child was put to the task of cutting out a triangle. The challenge: stay with your scissors on the line!
The face for the witch had to be cut, too.
Next: glue on face, hat brim & hair to finish the witch!
Following directions, holding on to scissors correctly
and cutting on the line?!
What a challenge! But there are some very cute witches hanging up to dry in our classroom! Wait 'til you see!
Yes, it is fun to sing spooky songs this time of year..."Stirring my Brew", "One little , two little, three little witches - fly over hay stacks, fly over ditches! Sliding down...
(Can your child teach you?)
This group enjoys a spooky story & rhyme any time.
Thank you to everyone who donated a pumpkin!
No!
It's not too late to bring big pumpkins! They are going to be played with & studied next week. Hopefully a Jack-o-Lantern or two can be carved.
Thank you for all the snacks provided this week!We are looking forward to more fun in learning with your child!
