THIS WEEK:
We continue to learn about fall & pumpkins & apples this week! We have started writing what we know about pumpkins! Next week will be a fun week as we dig into our pumpkin! We will even get to roast the seeds! (One of the kids came up with that idea!) Yesterday and today we read the book called Leaf Man by Lois Elhert. The kids got to see how they can take leaves and make them into something! Check out our Leaf Man creations that are up in the hallway!
We continue learning letters & letter sounds using Tucker signs! This week’s letters that we worked on were W, short U, long I and B. We continue to review our sounds. In working with kids individually on letters, some of them are remembering the sounds of letters but may not be able to tell me the letter name. That’s ok! They are learning & soon, it will all come together in their little brains! It is so heartwarming when they can show you what they have learned!
We had a great time celebrating Ryder’s 5th birthday! Thank you for the cupcakes! Happy, happy birthday Ryder!
I am attaching a copy of the revised schedule! We seem to have several kiddos that need to use the bathroom on a more regular basis. I have built in more group bathroom times where we are all going to go in & try to go potty.
WATER BOTTLES: Don’t forget to send water bottles on Monday!
SNACK: Milania Karr & family provided snack this week! The kids really enjoyed the pepperoni & cheese sticks! The pepperoni led to great discussions about shapes and what kind of pizza we like!
We also got to try green peppers from our garden! Some kids really liked them, some tried them because they were from the garden but didn’t like them & some just couldn’t bring themselves to even try them. We will keep introducing these “new” foods. It takes 15 to 20 times for a food to be presented to a child before they decide to try it! Then, about that many more before they might like it!
Snack next week will be Katherine & family!
SUPERHERO OF THE WEEK: Keegan Boshart is out Superhero of the Week! It’s been great hearing about Keegan’s family! He is especially fond of Papa Tim and his farm! I wonder if Keegan will grow up to be a farmer someday. On his poster, he says he wants to be a firefighter!
Ryder Vittetoe was our other Superhero of the Week! Ryder loves talking about his family! He is such a great helper in his family! He loved showing us his Captain America!
Next week’s Superhero will be Alice Goebel!
