SCHOOL SUPPLY COLLECTION
SVDP's annual parish-wide School Supply Collection began this past weekend! Items needed include: #2 pencils, 24-ct crayons, pocket folders with brads, wide-ruled single subject spiral notebooks, wide ruled loose leaf paper, glue sticks, white glue, pink erasers, and facial tissues.
All donations will benefit the children attending Lee County schools. Your gifts can be dropped off in the kitchen hallway by August 2. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Catechism of the Good Shepherd
We will begin training for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. It is a unique approach to Catholic catechism for children. The program will start next fall with the preschool. If you are at least 18 years of age, enjoy working with children, and would like to teach religious education classes during the 2021-2022 school year, please contact Geri ASAP for more information. Catechists are needed for preschool through grade 5.
For those interested in participating in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, our first training date is Saturday, September 11. You must be preregistered to attend monthly workshops. Contact Geri for more information.
PRAYER TO BEGIN A NEW SCHOOL YEAR
God of wisdom and might, we praise you for the wonder of our being, for mind, body and spirit. Be with our children as they begin a new school year. Bless them and their teachers and staff. Give the strength and grace as their bodies grow; wisdom and knowledge to their minds as they search for understanding; and peace and zeal to their hearts. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
CHILD/YOUTH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION
Our Religious Education Programs for Children and Youth seek to provide opportunities for all members of your family to deepen and share their faith within the parish community. Our programs are as varied as the age groups we want to serve: traditional classroom style instruction for our young children, Sacramental Preparation Programs, a junior high ministry that combines ongoing faith formation with activities and service projects, and a high school ministry that focuses on activities and Confirmation preparation.

CATHOLIC EDUCATION FORUM
Parents, Educators, and all interested parishioners:
Fr. Farmer closes out our Education Forum series with his own thoughts on Catholic education in our community and Q&A. We will meet Wednesday July 28 at 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall. Wine/cheese will be served. The nursery will be staffed.
