Greetings to you! We hope you have been enjoying your summer. Teresa Cecil located a resource that is of interest to all of us. As you know, we chose Bishop Edward Braxton's book,
The Church and the Racial Divide: Reflections of an African American Catholic Bishop as one of the books we would read as a group. Teresa found a National Catholic Reporter interview with Bishop Braxton about the book. The interview is located at this link:
Belleville bishop talks of Catholic church's 'racial divide'. Please check it out. Thank you, Teresa!
While we are writing, we remind you that our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 3rd, and will be our first in person meeting. We will meet in Room 3 at St. Tom's at 7:00 p.m. It will be nice to see everyone in the flesh and not as a square on a screen. More information about the meeting will be shared in a Flocknote next week.
Until we meet again, peace and all good things to you!
