Just as lovers can't stand to be apart from one another and we rejoice when families are reunited after travel or military deployments, God physically longs to be close to us and for us to be embraced by Him.
We don't believe in an impersonal or indifferent God. The Mass is a physical encounter with Christ who gave us Himself as bread to eat---His physical presence---because He wants to be ONE with us.

New Flocknote Group - Sunday 5 PM Music
There’s a brand new group in the St. Thomas the Apostle Flocknote ‘family’ – only for anyone who wishes to sign up. It will enable folks to receive the Sunday 5 PM Mass weekly music offerings.
Sent each Thursday (beginning August 5) by the 5 PM music ministry, this is intended to help prepare Mass participants for the upcoming weekend’s worship. The Flocknote will include video links to the songs the congregation will sing!
Consider it a musical weekly ‘heads up.’ If you’re one who appreciates how thoughtfully selected music can enhance your overall ‘church’ experience, this Flocknote group is for you.

Live Stream Mass Links - August 1
Fr. Callistus Iyorember celebrates 9:30 AM Sunday Mass for the Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time.

Holy Eucharist will be distributed Sunday 4:00 - 4:30 PM in the Parish courtyard for those who 'attend' Mass technologically and wish to receive.

For anyone who is a member of the Flocknote Live Stream Mass group - this Saturday will be the last time a separate Live Stream Mass Flocknote will be sent.
Instead, going forward each week's live stream Mass link and readings will be included in Wednesday's Weekly Parish Update...just as you see here!
Request for Sunday Mass Ushers
If you previously served as an usher at either the 10:30 AM or Noon Sunday Masses, please consider volunteering to usher at the 11:30 AM Mass. OR if Sunday 5:00 PM Mass is your new preferred Mass time, there is a need for ushers at that Mass as well. Anyone interested is asked to contact the parish office at 520-577-8780.
