Dear Friend,
Only two and a half weeks until the school year starts at Saint Andrew! Sometimes it seems that the summer stretches on to infinity, and sometimes it seems to slip by so quickly. With the Olympics coming to a close and school on the way, it might seem that fall is rushing in, but the long-range forecast points to hotter than usual weather ahead as the calendar progresses through August.
Please note the important information below about our strong recommendation to wear masks in all of our public spaces. We must do everything we can to be as safe as possible.
We hope you can join us for Mass this weekend on Saturday at 4:00 PM or Sunday at 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM. If you can't join us in person, remember that our live-stream is available for Sunday Mass beginning at 9:00 AM.
The hymnals have now returned to the pews and we invite congregational singing at Mass.
Please bring your own hand sanitizer to use before and after handling hymnals.
Have a great weekend!
Beginning now, it is strongly recommended that all persons entering Archdiocesan facilities be masked regardless of their vaccination status. This applies to parish offices, schools, churches and other public spaces. Observance of this policy aligns us with public health officials layered mitigation strategies.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will reevaluate our policy if conditions and public health guidance warrants it. It is our hope and our prayer that measures taken now and scrupulously applied will enable us to adopt a mask-optional policy for vaccinated persons in the future. Certainly we are disappointed and saddened that infection and serious illness rates have again surged. We must do our part to bring the pandemic under control and the suffering to an end. This is both our civic and Christian duty. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do to keep each other and the people we serve safe and well.
