A Note from Deacon Marty Nagy regarding his ordination as a Ukrainian Catholic Priest in Chicago Tomorrow, August 1st!
The peace of Christ be with you.
Below are livestream links for my ordination and first Liturgy, in case anyone is interested. (I think it'll be recorded there too). Either link should work:
You can also find links on the St Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral website.
The ordination is Sunday, August 1, at 11:30 am CDT at St Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in Chicago. My first Liturgy is Monday, August 2, at 9:45 am CDT at the same Cathedral. (Chicago is Central Time zone.)
On August 6, at 7:00 pm, I will concelebrate the Liturgy for the feast of the Transfiguration at St Thomas Byzantine Church in Gilbert, Arizona.
In the Eastern Rite, the Transfiguration traditionally is when fruit is blessed. So please bring any fruit you would like blessed.
We will have coffee and cake afterward.
On Sunday, August 8, I will celebrate my first Divine Liturgy at my new (but old) parish, St Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Tucson. Fr Andriy is retiring.
I will pray for you all. Thank you for praying for me.
God bless you,
Deacon Marty
