This past year Ben Martinez has been in formation for the Permanent Diaconate. This week he leaves Belton to enter Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, Please pray for Ben as he begins this new chapter of God’s story in his life. This weekend after all Masses you can leave cards and prayers for him in the Narthex, and visit with him after the 10:30 am Mass.  

Project Apple Tree is the annual appeal for school supplies for disadvantaged youth in Belton. This weekend you can take a tag from the giving tree in the Narthex and donate any amount you choose to help purchase backpacks, shoes, school supplies and more. Return envelopes by next weekend. 

Christ the King has selected Pete Trevino as this year's Lumen Gentium recipient. We will honor Pete on Sunday at the 8 a.m. Mass. The Lumen Gentium Awards recognize Catholics who exemplify the spirit of the Vatican II document Lumen Gentium...(“You are the light of the world…your light must shine in the sight of all, so that, seeing your good works, they may give the praise to your Father in heaven” Mt 5:14, 16). 

Stop by the Christus Center on Sunday after the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Masses to enjoy coffee, donuts and fellowship! You can also drop off registration forms for Religious Education, ask questions, meet our youth minister Josh Janda, and volunteer to help. We still need more "workers in the vineyard" to raise up our children the faith. Whether you prefer to be behind the scenes or front and center, we have a place for you!
