School Reminders and Updates

Good afternoon,
I wanted to send out a few updates and reminders as we get closer to the start of school. Please be sure to read through all of the information below and to mark the important dates down on your calendars! I will be sending out information weekly now in order to be sure that we are all up to date and ready for the start of the school year.

COVID Policy's and Procedures
Many of you have asked about our policies for the upcoming year. I am aware of the decision made be USD 253 and have had a chance to read through the guidance offered by KSDE. At this time, we have not made any definitive decisions regarding masks at Sacred Heart School. I am still in the process of working with the Archdiocese and the Health Department to determine the appropriate course of action for us. We have already taken steps to improve the environment in the school, including mounting commercial grade air purifiers in all the rooms, purchasing desk shields, improved sanitation equipment, and more. We are committed to doing what we feel is best for all our students and staff. I will be sure to communicate with you as soon as I have any further updates.
Wednesday, August 4th at 6:30 in the Parish Hall
There will be a meeting this Wednesday regarding Mexican Supper this year. This meeting is for anyone interested in helping out and potentially taking on a small leadership role. We need people willing to take on a variety of different roles, so if you have any interest in helping, please plan on attending. We will need to begin making decision and preparations for the event in the coming weeks. Again, your attendance does not mean you want to run the event, just that you are willing to participate in some way. The more people we have, the less work we will have for everyone.
Tuesday, August 10 from 8 AM - 5 PM
All families should plan on having someone come by at some point that day, appointments are not necessary. This is where you will complete the necessary paperwork for the year, as well as make fee or tuition payments or set up a payment plan.

The fee information is attached below. This only applies to parishioners. Non-parishioner fees are included in the tuition agreement. Both parishioners (for fees) and non-parishioners can apply for financial aid. If you have not completed the financial aid form yet, the directions are attached below.

We have a number of lightly worn uniforms available at the school. These will be available to pick up during registration day.
Saturday, August 14 beginning at 8 AM
This will be a general work day at the school where we will do some cleaning, some moving of furniture, as well as some repairs and others odds and ends that need to be taken care of before the students come back. Please save the date and we will send more information next week regarding the specifics of the work and any tools, supplies, or equipment that we might need.
*If you are unable to help on the 14th, there will be a few of us at school tomorrow morning, July 31st beginning at 9 AM for a couple of hours doing some moving and cleaning. If you would like to stop by to help it would be appreciated.
