THIS WEEK:
The weather has changed this week & we can feel it in the kids. This week while exploring pumpkins, we are also working on waiting our turn and being kind to our friends. These skills are life long skills that will serve us all well! We have several activities out that lend themselves to waiting & taking turns! We are fishing for leaf letters with only 1 fishing pole! This is a easy activity to make & so much fun! Waiting our turn is a little hard so we practice how we can wait. Can we ask the person who is having a turn, “When you are done, can I have a turn?” Can we find something else to do for a little bit? Can we start a list so we know who is next? Can we ask the person who is having a turn, “How many more minutes do you need?”
We are also practicing how to be kind to one another. Keeping our hands and feet to ourselves is a great way to keep everyone safe & be kind to our school friends. We have lots of time to practice these skills!
A quick note about the weather: We go outside every day unless the wind chill is below 15 degrees. It is good for all of us to breath in fresh air, to run around and to explore the outside and how it’s changing right now. PLEASE send warm coats, hats & gloves to school! We want your child to be warm when we go out!
WATER BOTTLES: If you haven’t sent them this week, please do!
SNACK: Katherine & family provided snack this week. There was great discussion on the day we had raisins about what raisins can do to our bodies! What a spirited discussion we had! Thank you for providing nutritious snacks! Next week, Keegan Boshart is our Snack-A-Nator!
SUPERHERO OF THE WEEK: Alice was our Superhero of the week! We even celebrated her birthday with her this week! Alice loved telling us about her family and what she wants to be when she grows up! Alice wants to work at Pizza Ranch! We all got to tell Alice what our favorite food at Pizza Ranch is!
Next week’s Superhero will be Jacob Canales!
