Blessings to all of our Holy Parish men, women and children of God!
I pray you were all able to enjoy a summer vacation or summer downtime. Just changing our routines gives us a new outlook and perspective! We all need to rest and rejuvenate! God designed us for that!
I was reflecting on my summer and what gives me strength for the journey! What is my purpose in life? What keeps me going when life gets out of control? My family for sure (even though some days they are the cause of the stress)! But Jesus is really my anchor! Especially when I get anxious and overwhelmed! I find turning my heart and mind towards God, sharing my thoughts (prayer) with Him, intermittently during the day helps me refocus and start again! I picture Him standing, sitting, moving with me as I continue making life choices to love Him above all things and to Love others as I love myself! When I fall short (as I do most days), I ask for forgiveness! Mary also brings me peace as I pray the rosary during the day. I am filled with peace beyond all understanding! What more could I want?
"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7
SAVE the Date for our PARISH RETREAT - Come to the Ark! All Ages welcome! We all need time to refocus and re-center ourselves, get refreshed, right?
What craziness is happening in your life right now? Are you preparing for school? Worried about Covid? Transitioning to your new fall Schedules, new routines? Is there an unexpected illness, short on money? Is your family feeling worn out, worried, stressed or weary?
So many worldly things take us away from the true Peace of walking with Jesus!
Come to the Ark, our parish retreat, to refresh, rejuvenate, relax and be filled with the love of our Lord. Beginning Friday, August 20 from 6:30pm-8:30pm then beginning again on Saturday, August 21 from 8:30am through 5pm Saturday Mass. Please register your household! Food, fun, rest, prayer, community! Take a break and join us as a St. Patrick family.
It does look different this year. Parents are clearly the key to families growing in Faith! Parents you are included in the process!
