While we were grateful to have had online training opportunities available during the height of the pandemic, we are happy to announce that we will begin offering in-person courses this fall.
The first course--Introduction to the Ministry of the Catechist--begins on Saturday, October 2nd at St. Cecilia Parish in Leominster. This is a 3-part course which will include sessions on October 7th and October 14th. It is not necessary to attend all 3 sessions at one time. Further information is available by clicking on the course dates above.
How can we help the very young child grow in his/her relationship with Jesus, the Good Shepherd? One way is to bring Catechesis of the Good Shepherd to your parish or school. Level I Catechesis of the Good Shepherd helps the young child ages 3-6 enter into a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus. It seeks to create a sacred space for children in which both the children and their catechists can hear, ponder and celebrate the most essential mysteries of our Catholic faith as revealed in Scriptures and the Liturgy. This leads little children, their catechists and quite often their entire families to come to a deep appreciation for the sacraments and above all, the Eucharist
Our next CGS Level I, Part 1 Catechist Training will take place: September 24, 25, 26 – 9 am to 5 pm (Fri., Sat., Sun.) AND continue on November 19, 20 and 21 – 9 am to 5 pm (Fri., Sat., Sun.)
You are invited to participate in meetings our office has scheduled throughout the diocese in September to introduce the new safe environment curriculum, Circle of Grace. At this meeting you will receive the new materials for this program along with materials relating to the updated student inventories. We are now taking registrations and are looking forward to seeing you at one of these meetings.
