I'm always excited when the calendar turns to November...it means Thanksgiving is coming quickly! But, it also comes with a wonderful Christian holiday...All Saints Day. On this day, the Church celebrates all the Holy Men and Women who live now with God, asking their prayers for us! (Oh, and its one of those days we're obliged to go to Mass...just sayin'.) Peace! Fr. Ed

Feast of All Saints--a Holy Day of Obligation!
To celebrate the Feast of All Saints, we'll have two Masses this day...one at 12:15pm, and one at 6:30pm. This is the day we as the Church celebrate all the Saints in heaven...those the whole Church knows by name, and all the other multitudes who have reached the glory of heaven! We ask them to pray for us as we seek to reach that glory as well!

Looking ahead...Fr. Ed will be out of town Thursday-Monday, so there won't be a daily Mass on Thursday or Monday. Nic will be holding communion services each day at 12:30 though. Also next week, Fr. Brendan Rolling, OSB, one of the FOCUS national chaplains will be visiting.
Our Knights of Columbus Council began a canned food drive last week that will last to November 19th. All the food collected will go to St. Vincent de Paul in Dayton. We are having a friendly competition with the Knights Council in Fairborn--if we collect more canned goods than they do, they'll come over here some Sunday and make us breakfast! But if they collect more, we have to go cook for them! There is a place for your donations in the front lounge.
