CURRENT MASS AND CONFESSION SCHEDULE
The dispensation from Sunday and Holy Days Mass obligation has been lifted and the obligation was reinstated beginning Saturday, June 26, and Sunday, June 27. We look forward to safely welcoming you back into our beautiful sacred space. Wipes for the pews and hand sanitizer will continue to be available for your use. The clergy will continue to sanitize their hands during the distribution of the Eucharist. The faithful are encouraged to remain respectful of their neighbor in all circumstances.

HOLY CROSS CHILDREN'S CHOIR GET TOGETHER
Thursday, September 16 at 4:30 p.m.
Dr. Mariana Mihai-Zoeter the music director at Holy Cross, is inviting all children grades 3-8 (existing members and new members who wish to sing in the Children's choir) and their parents to join her on September 16 at 4:30 pm for the first choir gathering of the year in the sanctuary. This will be a chance to have a question and answer session about the upcoming year. Participating in our parish music ministry is a beautiful way to share our God’s given talents with others. By leading the music at Mass, we help bring people closer to the Lord.

Volunteers needed for Rebuilding Together Montgomery County
Rebuilding Together provides free critical home repairs to Montgomery County’s most vulnerable residents. The repairs RTMC volunteers make help those members of our community who are most in need stay safe in their homes. Holy Cross teams with Saint Mark Presbyterian and Bethesda United Church of Christ as a visible sign of Christian Unity. The Social Concerns Committee also provides a wonderful picnic meal for volunteers. The project work day is September 11, 2021. Those with more experience can volunteer for work on the project on additional Saturdays. Teens may participate with parents. This weekend, we will be taking up the National Collection for The Catholic University of America. Your support will enable Catholic University to expand its impact in preparing the next generation of leadership for our Church and nation. We appreciate your generosity. MULHOLLAND FOOD DRIVE - BIG SUCCESS!
According to Brian Mulholland, this was the most food donated by Holy Cross Parishioners in the last eight years!!! Perhaps, but our Parish community has always had a very generous response. Luckily, the Mulholland Foundation brought a huge rental truck for the pickup!

The quality, as well as the quantity, of the donated food was amazing! It appeared that many Parishioners made a special trip to the grocery store before dropping off their donations in the back parking lot. These donations will go a long way toward restocking the inner city Parish Pantries!
The Linkages to Learning social worker was equally thrilled with the response to the backpack/school supply collection. She said she might even be able to share with one of her colleagues at another school - just in time for the first day!

Holy Cross offers sessions of instruction and discussion to assist the individual in their spiritual journey as they seek answers to their questions and learn more about the Teachings and sacramental life of the Catholic Church. The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) Sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 7-9pm starting in early October. Email ilagan@hcrosschurch for a registration packet.
CYO FALL 2021 CROSS COUNTRY HYBRID REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

We welcome all children of Holy Cross Parish and School Grades 1st-8th (ages 8-14).
This year we are offering a hybrid program which means that our runners can participate in-person or virtual. Please contact me, Flavia Wright (HCrossCYO@gmail.com) for which option you wish to participate in!
PRACTICES - Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:30pm starting 8/31/2021.
Please be sure to bring water and wear running shoes.
Location: Meet at Holy Cross school field, course will be on Holy Cross School grounds.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Anyone Interested in helping out at practices should contact Flavia Wright (HCrossCYO@gmail.com). Parent volunteers must be Virtus trained and cleared. Earn Volunteer Hours! We need parent volunteers to keep an eye on all runners as they run around our grounds.

U8 Boys and U8 Girls - 1 Mile Distance
U11 Boys and U11 Girls - 2 Mile Distance
U14 Boys and U14 Girls - 2 Mile Distance
* The first race of every meet begins with the one mile, 8 and under Boys race.
Plan to arrive at noon to do a course walk through, warm-up, and stretch, prior to meet start.
