We pray for those who have died because of the explosions at Kabul Airport yesterday morning, including 13 U.S. service members, other U.S. citizens, and Afghanis. "Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. Amen."
We also pray for the safety of American citizens and Afghan refugees who remain stranded in Afghanistan in the wake of yesterday's terrorist attck.

This weekend the parishes of our collaborative join other parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Boston in taking a collection for Catholic Relief Services' earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. Checks should be made payable to your parish with "Haiti Earthquake Relief" in the memo line.
Regarding Safety Precautions at Masses
Effective September 4:
- Each parish church in our collaborative will have a section marked for social distancing for people who want to wear masks and be sitting only near people who are wearing masks.
- Massachusetts advises that all unvaccinated people are to wear masks indoors.
- All parishioners are encouraged (but not required) to wear masks at Masses and other parish activities.
- Those distributing Holy Communion will wear masks during the distribution of Communion and should disinfect their hands before and after the distribution.
