Curbing Hunger Donations
The pandemic and summer months = low food supplies.
Please give generously, if you are able. Here are two ways you can continue to support the Food Bank of Somerset County:
Online Donations: You can continue to support by online contributions. To purchase fresh fruits and vegetables online, visit www.CurbingHunger2021.org. Donations are delivered directly to the Food Bank Network of Somerset County.
Monetary Donations: Checks can be made payable to Curbing Hunger, Inc. and mailed to 140 South Finley Ave., Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
And, of course, you can always bring your food donations to the office or link.

The Sunday School Rocket launch is being moved to Ross Farm in early October so we can help celebrate another successful Garden Harvest. We are going to build a very special rocket this year so make sure you do not miss out and sign up; it will be a very Egg-citing event.. Rocket building will take place on line using Zoom starting in mid September so your rocket will be ready to go in October For more information contact Mr Lyga at jwlyga@gmail.com.
BedOBags Project
Several months ago, we began collecting clean plastic bags for a group in Bridgewater who will be making sleeping mats for the homeless. The group is seeking help with the first step in making these mats - making ropes.
We are looking for some helpers with making these ropes out of the plastic bags we have been collecting. Making the ropes is easy. We have created a video you can follow. Here is the link Rope blankets - YouTube

Saturdays in Somerville
Despite the pandemic, we will once again need volunteers to distribute food in Somerville every Saturday in September. If you are willing to participate, please email Jody Hough (jodyhough@yahoo.com) and let her know which Saturday(s) you are available. ( 9/11, 9/18 & 9/25)
Ideally we need at least 6 volunteers each Saturday to distribute food to the clients. High school teens are also welcome to volunteer, with adult chaperone (a great way to earn community service hours). Masks should be worn. Bring a water bottle and sun protection in case we will be serving outdoors.

Rummage Sale this September 17th & 18th
The sale is back! After a long hiatus, we are once again ready to gather in the parish hall to enjoy some fellowship and sort the many donations you have been holding onto; however, please do not bring your treasurers to the church until the Sunday before the sale, September 12th, as we do not have sufficient storage prior to setting up in the parish hall.
We will accept donations from Sunday, 9/12 through Wednesday, 9/15
Please consider volunteering:

Sale Days: Friday & Saturday, 9am-2pm
