Welcome, Sister Rosa!
Sister Rosa Amalia Torres Armendariz joins us this week at Sacred Heart to work at the parish with Hispanic Ministry. She has belonged to the Congregation of Missionaries of Our Lady of Perpetual Help for 32 years and has served for the last 8 years in the Diocese of Springfield, MA.
"Miles for the Mission" Cycling Race
Fr. Brendan will race in the Shenandoah Mountain 100 on September 5 for his "Miles for the Mission" fundraiser. Read the recent Catholic Review article about him and the big event!
Wednesday Adoration and Confessions
Our Wednesday evenings with Eucharistic Adoration (6:00 – 9:00 PM) and Confessions (6:00 – 8:00 PM) will resume in the Main Church on September 8.
Monsignor Lloyd Aiken Memorial Golf Tournament

Sister Karen Washabaugh, SSJ bids farewell after 16 years of service at Sacred Heart. She was Directress of Religious Education and also assisted in the school. Her Community, the Sisters of Saint Joseph, has recently missioned her to the Annunciation Parish in McSherrystown, PA.

Crab Raffle
The Knights are selling tickets after all Masses on September 4/5 and 11/12 for the annual Crab Raffle to support their outreach to Our Daily Bread. Tickets are $10, and the grand prize is $350 or one bushel of large crabs!
Little Sisters of the Poor "Nun Run" 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk
Join Seminarian Braden in supporting the St. Martin’s Home and Little Sisters of the Poor! You can register here and make sure your Parish Group is “Sacred Heart – Glyndon”. Braden will be organizing a group to run together on Saturday, September 18, but all are welcome to run on their own.
