Good day Parish Presidents
Please forward this email with the attached letter to all members as they must be made aware that unless certain executive positions can be filled by appointment, the St. Boniface Diocesan Council’s standing in the League will be in question. Where would that leave our parish councils and the hundreds of members in our diocese?
Parish presidents and their executive are urged to discern names of members who might fill the vacancies, and to approach them about serving. We look forward to hearing from each parish council at the Sept. 11th meeting about their outreach. To those who accept appointment, guidance and mentorship would be provided by St. Boniface Life Members.
I take this opportunity to also remind those who have not yet RSVP’d (parish councils and Life Members), to please do so regarding attending the meeting of Sept 11th. You will be advised of the location for the meeting nearer to the date, based on pandemic protocols in place at that time.
Members are encouraged to pray about the need to fill vacancies at the diocesan level and for members to be receptive to this special call to serve.

Okay ,Flag Day, with some scenes filmed in Beausejour, is playing now in Winnipeg. and I have no idea if I was cut from the parade scene as I am a parade enthusiast beside the stars. But this is a much more inspiring true documentary: what a fabulous movie I found on I tube about the life of Sister Clare Crocket. I give it a 10 out of 10. Make some popcorn and watch it soon. Clare became a nun as a teen in Ireland and died an early tragic death. I have never seen someone radiate the love of God (from God) like she did. How I wish the world was filled with more Clares!
