Also, attached is a PDF of the all the scripture that can be found in Mass, and next week there will be a diagram of How we participate in the Heavenly Liturgy (hand drawn)!... it takes a while to imagine and draw these images.
Masks are now required at Mass
SVdP Collection
This weekend we help our neighbors in need through our St. Vincent de Paul Conference monthly collection. Neighbors like the following:
Our neighbor is a 49 year-old disabled male. We have been assisting him with rent and/or utilities since December 2015. We last helped him with $500.00 towards his rent on 5/12/20. He is a bright, resourceful person who has had a series of full or part-time jobs since our Vincentian began working with him 5-1/2 years ago. His major issue is his medical condition, cancer, which has been ongoing since 2015. He gets chemo periodically, which disables him and prevents him from working. He is currently relying on the funds from his last part time job and reports that he can maybe put $50.00 towards the current request for help with his cell phone bill of $472.00, past due, shut-off notice scheduled for 8/22/21. He reports to have been in remission for the past 6 months but still requires copious medications to keep the cancer at bay. The good news: when he was applying for unemployment insurance, which he is still waiting to receive, he saw that there were multiple job openings available with the State Employment Security Dept. He applied, and given his good work history, clean record and history with information technology, he was hired! He begins Monday 8/16/21 at $19.25 an hour for a 40 hour week, working from home. That would equate to $770.00 / week, $3080.00 / month, $40,040.00 / year! Plus the State benefits! He needs his cell phone to proceed with this great opportunity and our Vincentian fully supported his request. We are thrilled for his opportunity!

School Days

Take Courage
They’re Back!
Last Tuesday, St. Anne School welcomed back all students for the first day of school. That hasn’t happened since September of 2019! As much as everyone wished for a huge hug-a-thon, masks and distance were carefully maintained.
Fr. Colin opened the first assembly of the year with a prayer. He was followed by new music teacher, Ms. Anna Vizzare, leading the Hymn to St. Anne. Group singing even with masks is not allowed so she invited everyone to hum along—St. Anne accompanied by 250 bees. Principal Mary Sherman then gave a meditation on the school’s motto for the 2021-2022 year: Take Courage from John 16:33.
These things I have spoken to you, that you may have peace. In the world you have tribulations, but take courage, I have overcome the world.
With joy, hope and courage, the school year begins.
