Dear Parent/Guardian:
Thank you to all the parents who completed the survey. It is clear from the results (63% for remote instruction; 37% for in-person instruction) that there is desire for each option. From the comments, we know there are several reasons remote instruction is needed, with the main reason being that many children in Fam Cat are under age twelve and cannot be vaccinated. Considering all of this information, and in an effort to do what is best for everyone, Family Catechesis will be offered BOTH in-person AND remotely this year.
If you want in-person instruction, no further action is required from you. Just attend during the section for which you registered. Please note, however, that everyone (all children and parents) attending in-person family catechesis will be required to wear a mask over their mouth and nose while indoors, regardless of vaccination status.
If you want to select remote instruction, you must complete the online form by clicking the button below. Please note:
- "Remote" instruction is not the same as the "virtual" instruction that took place last year and we will not be using Zoom.
- Please familiarize yourself with the attached "Fam Cat Remote Option" document, especially the parent expectations and schedule, BEFORE selecting this option.
- Because this type of learning has aspects which are best done in community, each parent will be paired with a "Formation Companion" with whom a monthly coversation will occur.
