Vocations Rosary
We have a vocations rosary every second Monday of the month from 7:00-7:30PM in the Church.
As you pray and meditate on the mysteries of the most Holy Rosary, please remember to pray for those who hear God’s call to service. We also pray for an increase of vocations to the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, and for priests, deacons, bishops, consecrated men and women, and holy husbands and wives.
Don't forget to pray for yourself too, that you may know your vocation and follow it with joy and obedience to God's will.

Let Jesus Look Upon You
Every Thursday at Adoration!
Venerable Fulton Sheen writes about Holy Hour saying, “We become like that which we gaze upon. Looking into a sunset, the face takes on a golden glow. Looking at the Eucharistic Lord for an hour transforms the heart in a mysterious way as the face of Moses was transformed after his companionship with God on the mountain.”
Come Praise the Lord and be transformed this Thursday, and every Thursday, at St. Edward! A special note, our Vocation Committee dedicates the 3rd Thursday of the month to attend Holy Hour and pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. We’ll have some literature available for you to offer up your time before the Blessed Sacrament for vocations.

All parents and legal guardians of children who meet the requirements for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are encouraged to attend the inquiry meeting to learn about the process, the expectations, and ask questions.

CLOW- Children's Liturgy of the Word!
Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) begins
this Sunday at the 9:30 AM Mass.
All Children ages PK3 – 1st grade are invited to CLOW to hear the Word of God being proclaimed, reflect upon the readings, learn about the Mass, and appropriate behavior in the church. The children’s liturgy is presented in a way that is developmentally age-appropriate for your child(ren) to better understand the scriptures.
Parent TIPS for attending CLOW:
1. Parents, please make sure to take your child to the bathroom before Mass.
2. If your child needs help in the bathroom, please join CLOW with your child.
3. If you child is unsure of going to CLOW alone, you as the parent are welcome to join us.

Our Lady of Sorrows Reflection
(Feast Day: September 15th )
John’s account of Jesus’ death is highly symbolic. When Jesus gives the beloved disciple to Mary, we are invited to appreciate Mary’s role in the Church: She symbolizes the Church; the beloved disciple represents all believers. As Mary mothered Jesus, she is now mother to all his followers. Furthermore, as Jesus died, he handed over his Spirit. Mary and the Spirit cooperate in begetting new children of God—almost an echo of Luke’s account of Jesus’ conception. Christians can trust that they will continue to experience the caring presence of Mary and Jesus’ Spirit throughout their lives and throughout history.
