14 Days of School...
It is hard to believe that we have already been in school for 14 days. So much learning and growing has already taken place.
As a class we set a few goals again:
1. I can think before I speak. (using a kind tone and not blurting out of turn)
2. I can line up in line order.
3. I can get my work done on time.
Math:
This week we will be continue to work on number writing, numbers before and after, counting on from a given number, tally marks and skip counting by 5’s and 10’s as well as addition.
Literacy:
Our focus continues to be on words with the short /a/ sound as well as short /i/. We will practice reading and writing them and rhyming with words that have that vowel sound.
We write daily in our journals and added EPIC (the online library) to our literacy block. Our main focus in writing is finishing a complete sentence, using spacing and punctuation.
Testing is underway at SJS and we should be finishing up this week.
Science:
We observed our Rye and Alfafa Seeds that we planted. We plan on going on a plant walk to collect leaves. We will make observations with them and then do leaf rubbings in Art class as well!
Mrs. M will be teaching Monday, Tuesday and Friday & Mrs. Luers will be teaching Wednesday and Thursday.
We hope to see you this Sunday at Fall Fest!! If students go to the 10 am Mass, they get a FREE wrist band so they can participate in all of the fun activities.
Have a SUPER weekend!
