It was a short and quick week in 4th grade! We finished up our opinion papers on our favorite subject at school. The students did a nice job brainstorming, turning their ideas into complete sentences and then writing a paragraph. We will be doing more of this to work on our writing skills. We also talked about complete subjects and predicates and more prefixes, while reading the story.
We are continuing to work on place value in Math, specifically rounding and comparing numbers. They are working hard and showing progress.
The mealworms are loved by this class! We separated some of them....a few in the refrigerator and a few in the dark closet. We are testing to see if the environmental factor of air temperature makes a difference in the structure and behaviors of the mealworms. Stay tuned for our observations over the next few weeks!!
We continue to learn about the Industrial Revolution in Social Studies, including the shift to manufacturing and machines.
This Sunday is our Annual Fall Festival, the school's largest fundraiser! A flyer was sent home with your children on Friday. Please join us for mass, a wonderful meal, kids' games and an auction. A great time will be had by all!
Have a great weekend! Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you need anything or have any questions.
