September 25 & 26: Hurricane Ida Relief Collection
Bishop McManus is asking that we join in the national relief efforts for the Gulf States following the massive devastation from Hurricane Ida. Next weekend, September 25 & 26 we will have a second collection to help with these efforts. See the insert below which is a letter from Bishop McManus that explains how this collection will be used. (The Hurricane is incorrectly named in the Bishop’s letter.)
October 3 & 4: World Mission Sunday, Propagation of the Faith Mission Appeal
October 3 & 4 is our Mission Appeal weekend. On this weekend we will have a second collection at all Masses and we ask that you give kind consideration to helping with a gift to this Mission Appeal.
The Mission Appeal this year is to help Holy Trinity Church Namukozi, Uganda Africa to finish the construction of their church. The local community has done its best to raise a Church building. However, the Christians in this area are very poor and it is hard for them to complete this Church. Their Mission Appeal is to raise funds so that they are able to roof, close, plaster and plumb the Church structure.
On September 25 & 26th we will show a short video at the weekend Masses that will help to better understand the Church construction project that the Namukozi Catholics are undertaking.
October 3rd: Faith Formation Grades K-10 begins
Choir Notes from Joe Konkol
Due to the uncertainty of the Corona Virus and increased cases statewide, the choir will meet only for major feasts until further notice. This means the choir would meet for rehearsal a couple of weeks before Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter. This is dependent on the governor's guidelines at the time. I will keep you updated as we progress into the Fall. Please recruit new members, because if we do not have enough people to sing at these Masses, they will be cantored. Contact Joe by email at
