The Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows is this Wednesday.

to pray the Chaplet of Our Lady of Sorrows.

"That exquisite and most pure creation, the Immaculate Heart of the Mother of God, experienced both the supreme joy of giving life to Jesus and the sorrow of seeing that life taken from him. She understood better than anyone else his divine and salvific love, and also the tragedy that sin truly is. She, above all, shared in the Passion of her divine Son by her love for him and for sinners. Mary kept her station at the cross of Jesus, and she will remain with us, too. When we look at Our Lady of Sorrows we can be sure that 'we have a mother who is with us, protects us, accompanies us, helps us, even in difficult times, in bad moments.'" (Pope Francis)

Second Collection next weekend

Catechetical Sunday allows parishes to recognize and thank those who give generously of their time and gifts in the work of catechesis. The special collection taken up on this day helps to fund those catechetical programs in Arkansas. It is divided equally between the local parish religious education program and the diocese’s Office of Faith Formation.
