My dear brothers and sisters,
“Do not be ashamed to enter again into the Church. Be ashamed when you sin. Do not be ashamed when you repent. Pay attention to what the devil did to you. These are two things: sin and repentance. Sin is a wound; repentance is a medicine. Just as there are for the body wounds and medicines, so for the soul are sins and repentance. However, sin has the shame and repentance possesses the courage.” St. John Chrysostom.
Have the courage to repent, to change thoughts of malice, evil, hatred, vengeance, and everything else that can cause damage to your brothers and sisters. Use the medicine of repentance, use the sacrament of confession, but be sincere, don’t go to the sacrament if you are not truly repented, don’t make fun of God’s grace. True repentance will send you in a path of self-conscience taking care that your actions and words be in accordance with Jesus’ commandment of love.
In the Love of Christ,
Fr. Nelson.
