Oh God, who willed that,
when your Son was lifted high on the Cross,
his Mother should stand close by and share his suffering,
grant that your Church, participating with the Virgin Mary
in the Passion of Christ, may merit a share in his Resurrection
Who lives and reigns in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever. Amen
Today, September 15, the Church honors the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. Our Blessed Mother knew many sufferings in her life, the greatest of which was to witness the crucifixion of her Son, Jesus.
Our Lady also comes to assist us as we bear the many sorrows of our life. She is a beacon of hope, who reminds us that the grace of God will aid us in every situation we face.
Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.
