Gather the Flock Fall Festival!
Apunte La Fecha: Festival de Otoño para Reunir el Rebaño de San Marcos !
On Saturday Oct 9th 2021, St Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church will host a parish-wide fall festival to “Gather the Flock”. We will have a special 4:30pm bilingual Mass and then gather at the field for live music, food, and fun for the entire family! So bring your friends (and a lawn chair) and enjoy a great time!
El sábado 9 de octubre de 2021, la Iglesia Católica de San Marcos Evangelista organizará un festival de otoño para toda la parroquia para “Reunir al Rebaño”. Tendremos una Misa bilingüe especial a las 4:30pm y luego nos reuniremos en el campo para disfrutar de música en vivo, comida y diversión para toda la familia. ¡Así que traiga a sus amigos (y una silla) y disfrute de un buen rato!

As we come out of the pandemic, we hope to reach out to the community and gather the flock to rebuild a "Better than Normal" St. Mark. But we cannot do this without your support! Please help us as we strive to Encounter, Embrace, and Evangelize!

During the month of September, we will be celebrating Stewardship in our Parish. We recognize that stewardship isn’t just about donating money to the church, but also donating our time and talents. Each weekend, different ministries will be in the Narthex with one goal: to help you find a ministry to belong to! We have many different ministries so we are sure you’ll have many options!
Durante el mes de septiembre, estaremos celebrando la Corresponsabilidad en nuestra Parroquia. Reconocemos que la corresponsabilidad no es solo donar dinero a la iglesia, sino también donar nuestro tiempo y talentos. Cada fin de semana, diferentes ministerios estarán en el Narthex con un objetivo: ¡ayudarle a encontrar un ministerio al que pertenecer! ¡Tenemos muchos ministerios diferentes por lo que estamos seguros de que tendrá muchas opciones!

First Year Confirmation Candidates have their first in-person class with their catechists this Wednesday, Sept. 22 2021 from 7:00pm - 8:30pm in the Smyth Pastoral Center. Students should have completed the first reading assignment and are required to attend the class with at least one parent.

Los candidatos a la confirmación de primer año tienen su primera clase en persona con sus catequistas este miércoles, 22 de Sept. 2021 de 7:00pm-8:30pm en el Centro Pastoral Smyth. Los estudiantes deben haber completado la primera lectura asignada y se requiere que asistan a la clase con al menos un padre.

Fr. Roshan: Hike for Life
Padre Roshan y la Recaudacion Pro-Vida!
Fr. Roshan will be representing St. Mark as our team captain in this year’s Hike for Life! It has been two years since the last Hike due to the pandemic. We raised over $8,000 in 2019 when Fr. Roshan was our team captain. The money raised will go to local agencies that support the choice for life, before and after the birth of the mother’s child, during times when choosing life may be very difficult. How YOU can help: Register as a hiker to raise money (under the St. Mark Team) OR Sponsor Fr Roshan by donating online!
El padre Roshan representará a San Marcos como capitán de nuestro equipo en la Caminata por la Vida de este año. Han pasado dos años desde la última Caminata debido a la pandemia. Recaudamos más de $8,000 en 2019 cuando el P. Roshan fue nuestro capitán de equipo. SVdP "Friends of the Poor" Walk
Caminata Anual de los “Amigos de los Pobres” de la Caridad San Vicente de Paul!
St. Vincent de Paul’s annual Friends of the Poor Walk will be held at St. Francis of Assisi in Frisco on Sat. Oct. 9th at 10 AM. Registration begins at 9 AM. Music, free t-shirts, snacks, and prizes for the kids will make this a lively event while aiding those who are in need! Cost is only $10 per walker! Organize a team and walk to benefit those in financial crisis. Register today!
La caminata anual de los “Amigos de los Pobres” de San Vicente de Paúl se llevará a cabo en San Francisco de Asís en Frisco el sáb. 9 de Oct. a las 10 AM. El registro comienza a las 9 AM. The Women of St. Mark invite all women of the parish to join us for a meeting on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 7:00 pm in McGivney Hall. Our guest speaker Nora Gravois from the Plano Wellness Center will give a short presentation on “Brain Pump or Brain Dump”. Nora Gravois is a strong advocate of Mental Aerobics and will inform us of the many services provided by the Wellness Center. We hope you can join us!

Join us after Mass on Sunday, Sept. 26th from 9AM - 1PM in the Lion’s Lair Gym at the school for an opportunity to shop together with your family at the St. Mark Catholic School Book Fair! Every purchase helps supports our school library. You can also visit Friday, Sept 24 – Tuesday, Sept 28 between 8AM-4PM. We’re open late on Wednesday, Sept 29th between 12PM – 7PM too!
