25th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Masses: Saturday, Sept. 18, 4 p.m. (at Carondelet Park bandstand)
and Sunday, Sept. 19, 9 a.m.
Do your favorite memories of Mass in the Parks Past include gathering afterward with friends in the great outdoors while kids run wild? OURS, TOO! (Or being collectively eaten alive by no-see-ums in 2005? Ours, too!
#itch) Throw a picnic dinner or local takeout in your backpack and some beverages in the cooler bag, and join us tomorrow at 4 p.m. at the Carondelet Park bandstand by Boat Lake. Please bring a chair or a blanket.
If you need any help with carrying anything or otherwise, please drive up near the Boathouse, where you will find reserved parking and professional problem-solver Ted Hartzler. Otherwise, parking along Loughborough is your best bet.
Our very first Mass in the Park happened to be just four days after Sept. 11, 2001. The St. Stephen family felt especially sacred on that Saturday afternoon 20 years ago. For many of us, this event has been colored by that feeling ever since. Hope to see you at this special family picnic!
